The love of art has been my lifelong pursuit...

My love of drawing began as a child when I would draw faces and hands trying to get a real likeness.  It was in art class that I first saw the process of painting oil paintings and murals on the walls of people's homes.  This lit a spark within me and I knew that I wanted to paint, to create similar images.

Following my love of art, I graduated college with a degree in Fine Art and Design and went on to work for advertising agencies and art studios where I continued to learn about design, layout, and the printing process.  My career in the art world continued, working as a Visual Information Specialist for the US Forestry Service.  In addition, I had the opportunity to do commissioned illustrations and design ads as well as logos.

Through the years that followed, I was fortunate to gain exposure to artists in different parts of the country, continuing my love of painting in watercolor and oils working on subject matters such as florals and landscapes.  However, it was my love of the human form that drew me back to portraits.  Many of my portraits now hang in private collections throughout the US and other countries.

Today you will find me working on commissioned portraits, landscapes, and floral paintings.  I also teach classes at my local art museum and am an active member of the Portrait Society of America..
